In 1985 Tony Blunden purchased 90 acres of rolling Surrey countryside and planning for a 9 hole golf course was granted in 1990. After extensive work and investment, the course was opened to the public in August 1992.

The vision was to create a course that was accessible to people of all ages and all walks of life, this was very much achieved from the start and continues to this day.

In 1997 the Blunden family secured a further 110 acres and by 2000 the course was opened as 18 holes with much of the new 9 set in mature woodland making it almost unique in this area.

Rusper is still a family run club where having fun and providing great golf is taken very seriously. You will find an excellently presented course and a warm welcome in the clubhouse.

HOLE BY HOLE TOUR

The course at Rusper gives golfers a gentle start, the first 4 holes getting you into your stride. Following on from the 5th hole accuracy from the tee is at a premium but there are no long carries to deter the shorter hitter. Holes 8 to 14 are sometimes called “Amen Corner” (shades of Augusta!) but they are a challenge and keeping the ball in play is the way to make a good score.
